Studies performed using this device predict filtration area requirements of Supor EX grade ECV membrane in larger filter 0.2 micron rated sterilizing grade AB-style filter cartridges or Kleenpak Nova filter capsules.These formats utilize a laid-over-pleat membrane construction and a narrow core design to maximize available filtration area per filter element (1.04 m² per 254 mm [10 inch] module).
Featuring a unique two layer hydrophilic polyethersulfone (PES) membrane pairing, Supor EX grade ECV membrane filters deliver high flow rates and throughput for maximum process efficiency.The low protein and preservative binding properties of Supor membrane allows for maximum transmission of active ingredients.With broad liquid compatibility, the filters are suitable for the filtration of a wide range of fluids including buffers, biological fluids, tissue culture media and ophthalmic products, amongst others.
